Clement (Beezie) Junior Cerney

Clem Jr. (Beezie) was also telling stories at Cary Schlotman funeral Sept. 11, 2003. He told of when he was a kid....maybe four or five years old and he was given a big stick with lots of leaves. The older folks were having their drinks near the barrel of the stuff and Beezie's job was to keep the flies away with his stick.


Clem Jr. (Beezie) also remembers his Dad Clem Cerny chewing Red Man tobacco. Dad Clem Cerny spit out the window of the car and anyone in the way might get struck by tobacco! Beezie said the left side of the car showed the tobacco streaks left by Dad Clem Cerny. He described how the four kids fit into the small car. Billie stood in front, Helen sat on Mom Lydia's lap, Jean stood behind them and Beezie was on the small back window shelf.

Cousins Beezie and Johhny talked about Grandpa driving a car. He never shifted.....only drove in high gear. As Grandpa got older....the kids were a little afraid to ride with Grandpa.
As Johnnie P. described it 'Grandpa would take the corner into the farm lane in high gear and once wiped out the entire fence row by the hogs'.

Clement married Rochelle Friedman Cerney on 4 Nov 1967. (Rochelle Friedman Cerney was born on 20 Nov 1937.)
