Florence Mary Van Brocklin was born at the family homestead in Knox County near Verdigris P.O., the first daughter of the family. She made her home with her parents until her marriage on Feb 27, 1906 to Martinus Blair.
One son was born to them. Home Victor on Jan 9, 1908. Mart and Florence lived on different farms in the community and moved to Creighton, NE. Here Aunt Roxilany (Van Brocklin) Ellerton came to make her home and lived to the age of 95 years. Aunt Roxy died on Aug 29, 1932.
Florence was always in poor health suffering from rhuematism which left her crippled. Martinus was born in Denmark Oct 15, 1882. He came to American with his mother, six brothers and one sister to join his father. He died Aug 27, 1967 and is burried in Creighton cemetery.
Martinus married Florence Mary Van Brocklin Blair, daughter of Daniel Van Brocklin and Elizabeth Krause Van Brocklin, on 27 Feb 1906. (Florence Mary Van Brocklin Blair was born on 18 Oct 1880 in Verdigris, NE and died on 18 Dec 1948 in Creighton, NE.)
