bullet  General Notes:

This envelope was dated Feb 1, 1925. The letter inside was from New Haven, CT. and dated Jan. 1925.

Dear Aunt (Theresa Cekk' Kurka):
I write you a few lines that Mother (Matilda Cek Richter) received your ever welcome letter and picture all right. She had another shock last week in her left leg and now she is confined to her bed and has a nurse to take care of her. I don't think Mother is long for this world. She seems to realize it for she was talking to me about it today. Well I will feel very bad if anything happoens as I think it will affect me more than my sisters as I have been with or near Mother.

Well we will hope for the best. She has good care and a nice room and good medical aid. The doctore says she may last awhile yet it all depends on her heart.

She must have plenty of rest and quietness. Well Dear Auntie I think this is all for now. I will inform you if anything serious should turn up. So I will send you Mother's Best Greeting and wishes for your health and happiness.

I remain your nephew, Charles A. Richter.

P.S. Please excuse this writing in
English.
