Francois Thomas De Lorimier

Francois Thomas Guillaume de Lorimier, Lord of Verneuil, 2nd son of the Chevalier deLorimier and of Demoiselle Le Pailleur, was ensign en second in 1758. Mr. deLorimier and his two brothers took part in the wars of 1759 and 1760. After the secession of the country, he went back to France with his brother Guillaume, but they returned to Canada together the year following. Mr. deLorimier distinguished himself under the English rather than that of France. He was made Captain of the troopers and commandant of Fort Shongetti, under the order of the Honorable Sir John Johnson. Mr. deLorimier took part in the American War of invasion, and near St. Jean distinguished himself with his brother Major Guillaume deLorimier, under the the command of Major Preston.

Francois married Marguerite Labrevois deBleury De Lorimier on 16 Aug 1766 in Montreal.
