It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish, Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Carol R Cerny of Saint Marys, Kansas who passed away at the age of 87, on January 13, 2024.
She was predeceased by her parents, Veronica Elizabeth Neuhalfen (Gubbels) and Anthony John Neuhalfen; her husband William Cerny; and her siblings, Celine Neuhalfen, Vernon Neuhalfen, Daniel Neuhalfen, Orville Neuhalfen, Roy Neuhalfen and Wiilliam Neuhalfen .Predeceased by Grandchildren Thomas Cerny and Anastasia Cerny.

She is survived by: her children, William Cerny Jr. of San Diego, CA, Gregory Cerny (Amy) of St. Marys KS, Celiine Long (Mark) of Owasso, OK, Sr Teresa Joseph, O.P. Dominican Sisters of Wanganui, New Zealand, Angela (Mark) Matteson of St. Louis, MO, Michael (Bernadine) Cerny of Kansas City, KS, Catherine (Aaron)Swehla of Aurora, CO; thirty-two grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; sisters Edna Molina, Alice Prosser, brothers Jerome (Barbara) Neuhalfen and Vincent Neuhalfen;and her brother-in-law Clement Cerney.

Visitation will be held at Piper Funeral Home, St. Marys, KS on Jan 17th from 2-4 pm. Rosary will be prayed at the Immaculata Church at 5:20 pm, Sung Requiem Mass will be offered at 9:30 am Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the Immaculata Church with interment to follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, St.Mary;s KS.

Carol married William (Billie) Frank Cerny, son of Clement Joseph Cerny and Lydia Wilhelmina Brockmann Cerny, on 25 Oct 1958 in Laurel, NE. (William (Billie) Frank Cerny was born on 20 Nov 1934, died on 3 Jul 2022 in Kansas City, MO and was buried on 9 Jul 2022 in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, St. mary's KS.)
