JoAnne Marie Frenking Klosner

JoAnne Frenking Klosner, 91, went peacefully to her heavenly home Saturday, December 31, 2022, from natural causes, in Omaha, Nebraska. Born in Omaha, she is preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Anne and Neil Everitt, Jr; son, Chris Klosner; and daughter, Cecilia Wortmann. She is survived by her brother, John J. (Noreen) Frenking, and her children, Cher (Ben) Klosner Lane, Gene Klosner, Joe (Lisa) Klosner and Margaret (Frank) Smith; son-in-law, Tom Wortmann; seven grandchildren.

JoAnne was, above all, a beloved mother and grandmother. She was classically-trained vocalist who sang on multiple recordings and passed on her love of music to all her family. JoAnne co-owned a medical supply compay, and in her last few years became an "unintentional documentarian" by compiling three decades of old silent family films, and composing, narrating and recording the stories behind the footage into a 2 1/2 hour movie. Her daily words: "I am very blessed".

JoAnne married James Edward Klosner, son of Edward Klosner and Mary Louise Van Brocklin Klosner, on 22 Nov 1956 in Omaha, NE. (James Edward Klosner was born on 8 Jul 1934 and died on 19 May 2005 in Omaha, NE.)
