Mae Hodges
Mae Hodges was born at Fort Dodge, Iowa Nov 30, 1870.
She was a homesteader in Tripp County, South Dakota and taught school until October of last year when taken down with Internal Carcinoma which was the cause of her death. She died on Sunday March 10 at 10:00 am at the home of her sister, Mrs. William Van Brocklin. She leaves two sisters and one brother to mourn. The remains were shipped to Elklander, Iowa for interment.
I, Julia Sukup Cerny googled the name of the town Elklander Iowa and there is none. There is however a Elkader, IA.
Mary married.
