Claude Guillaume De Lorimier

General Notes:
Claude was ensign in 1759 in the army of France, at the time of the war which preceded the secession of the country to England. At the close of hostilities, Mr. de Lorimier went to France with his brother, Francois Thomas, but they later returned to Canada.
Mr. de Lorimier has written a Memoire on this service at this epoch. Mr. M. l'Abbe Verreau published this journal in his collection on the American invasion of 1775. Mr. deLorimier died at Lachine in 1825.
Claude married a second time to Dlle. Descheneau and had two children: Edouard and Dlle. Magdeleine.
Claude married a third time to Anne McGregor and had three children: Desparois, Talbot and Mr. Antonie George de Lorimier.
Claude's last marriage left a large family, among others: (1) Guillaume Edouard, a gentleman of Grand Forks, North Dakota; (2) Jean Baptiste, caretaker and propietor of the seals of St. Taustin; (3) S.A. de Lorimier, merchant in Montreal; and Albert E. deLorimier, well known list lawyer of the Franco-Canadian Credit Foucier.
Claude married Marie Louise Schuyler De Lorimier.
